what is a Christian?

With so much confusion in today's world, what is a Christian?

Is it a mark for a 'great liar', a 'great cursing president', a 'great fairy-tail teller' of 'fake news', is it a 'womanizer', 'rapist', or any 'evangelist that backs the above person'?

Lets check that 'evangelist Bible' as see what is has to say on the subject?

A Christian is anyone that truly
‘believes that Jesus was God manifest in the flesh that He died for our sins and that He rose again’
(Period)!

Any fluff to that not found in the ‘Word of God’ is dangerous to you and also

(False information)!

1 John 3:8-10
8

The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start.

This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.

9

Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.

10

By this the children of God are distinguished from the children of the devil:

Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

2 Timothy 2:20

"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor."

(see notes on 2 Cor. 4:7).

Israel entered the land of the Canaanites!

Why did Israel’s הוה (God), allow them to enter the land of the Canaanites!
NO!
It was not because Jews hate Muslims or Muslims hate Jews!
Because there were no Jews or Muslims at the time.
It was not because Jews hate Mohammad  or Muslims hate Jesus.
Because neither knew of Jesus of Mohammed at the time!

The religion of  the Canaanites in 14BC?

What was the religion of  the Canaanites in 14BC?

  • Anat, virgin goddess of war and strife, sister and putative mate of Ba'al Hadad
  • Athirat, "walker of the sea", Mother Goddess, wife of El (also known as Elat and after the Bronze Age as Asherah)
  • Athtart, better known by her Greek name Astarte, assists Anat in The Myth of Ba'al
  • Baalat or Baalit, the wife or female counterpart of Baal (also Belili)
  • Ba'al Hadad, storm god, perhaps superseded El as head of the Pantheon
  • Baal Hammon, god of fertility and renewer of all energies in the Phoenician colonies of the Western Mediterranean
  • Dagon, god of crop fertility and grain, father of Baal or Hadad
  • El Elyon (lit. God Most High) and El; also transliterated as Ilu
  • Eshmun, god, or as Baalat Asclepius, goddess, of healing
  • Kotharat, goddesses of marriage and pregnancy
  • Kothar wa Hasis, the skilled, god of craftsmanship
  • Lotan, serpent ally of Yam
  • Melqart, king of the city, the underworld and cycle of vegetation in Tyre
  • Molech or Moloch, putative god of fire[4]
  • Mot or Mawat, god of death (not worshiped or given offerings)
  • Nikkal-wa-Ib, goddess of orchards and fruit
  • Qadeshtu, lit. "Holy One", putative goddess of love, modernly thought to be a sacred prostitute, although there is no evidence of sacred prostitution in ancient Canaanite cities
  • Resheph, god of plague and of healing
  • Shalim and Shachar, twin gods of dawn and dusk
  • Shamayim, the god of the heavens
  • Shapash, also transliterated Shapshu, goddess of the sun; sometimes equated with the Mesopotamian sun god Shemesh[5] whose gender is disputed[6]
  • Yahweh or Yah, for a short time, a son of El and brother of Baal, sometimes married to Asherah.
  • Yam-nahar or Yaw, also called Judge Nahar
  • Yarikh, god of the moon and husband of Nikkal

The Anointed One

The name, Christ Jesus. Christ (Messiah), means the Anointed One.

Jesus means Jehovah Savior.

Christians alone, of all religions, have hope of the resurrection.

2 Timothy 1:1 "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,"

“An apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God” (see note on 1 Tim. 1:1). His call was according to God’s sovereign plan and purpose (1 Cor. 1:1; 2 Cor. 1:1; Eph. 1:1; Col. 1:1).

“Promise of life which is in Christ Jesus”: The gospel promises that those who are spiritually dead but by faith embrace the gospel’s message, will be united to Christ and find eternal life in Him (John 3:16; 10:10; 14:6; Col. 3:4).

2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

1 Timothy 5:20 "Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear."

Donald Trump blasts Christianity Today magazine in tweet after it called for his removal!
The magazine has been critical of Trump but Thursday took on a bolder stand against the president.
"[T]he facts in this instance are unambiguous:
The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president's political opponents.
That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral," wrote Galli,
who called Trump a "near perfect example of a human being who is morally lost and confused."

Christian/Apostasy/Evangelicals

Are many of today's Evangelicals - Christian?
Are many of today's Christian - Apostasy?
Do they follow the 'little god'?
Or do they actually still read the 'Word of God'?
The following links from your own bible is very long,
howbeit;
 Extremely important to us all!

1 Timothy 5:20
"Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear."
 If today’s post is out of line with your belief.
I ask you,
why do they follow
a follower
of
(“Iblis” – "hasatan" - "dragon")
I remind you is
(Lucifer the leader of all fallen angles)!
Christians - one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ

Apostasy - conscious abandonment of allegiance or duty
(as to a person, cause, or doctrine) : desertion
Evangelicals - of, relating to, or
being in agreement with the Christian gospel
especially as it is presented in the four Gospels
“Apostatize,” - to commit apostasy

The Holy Spirit
through the Scriptures
has repeatedly warned of the danger of apostasy!

1 Timothy 4:1
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"

Matt. 24:4-12;

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

The Just Live by Faith

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again,
“The Lord will judge His people.”
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Acts 20:29-30;

29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

2 Thess. 2:3-12;

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Heb. 3:12; 5:11 – 6:8;

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,

Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

For whom the Lord loves He chastens,

And scourges every son whom He receives.”

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

10:26-31;

“But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”

2 Pet. 3:3;

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

1 John 2:18;

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Jude 18).

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

“In the latter times”:
The period from the first coming of Christ until His return

(Acts 2:16-17;

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Heb. 1:1-2; 9:26;

*God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

1 Pet. 1:20;

20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

1 John 2:18).

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Apostasy will exist throughout that period, reaching a climax shortly before Christ returns

(Matt. 24:12).

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

1 Timothy 4:2 "Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;"

(1 John 4:1).

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that JesusChrist has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

What is an (OFFSHOOT) of Humanity?

Offshoots of ‘slave owners’ have been around almost as long as humans have been on Mother Earth!

About 6 million years, if you do not understand ‘Father Gods Word to his people’?

The Bible is about Father Gods Son!
(Old Testament – ‘Messiah’--New Testament ‘Jesus’ about 40,000 of those years).
The ‘Offshoots’ are cowards hiding in the ‘shadows of humanity’, until now!

Now they have a ‘leader coward’ with the ‘power of the president’s office’ of a ‘Free Country’ behind him!

This act has nothing to do with (1st Amendment rights)!
(1)- It is a military matter.
(2)- It is just a coward doing yet another cowardly deed!

As a proud 'American Citizen' that has served you in your military to help protect you, the constitution, the 1st Amendment, and your country, I say that ‘We the people’ have the right to know who is this person that will be looking into this ‘Disgrace of your military and your country’!

Anything less than ‘Being Expelled' from our 'Military' is unacceptable!

1 Thessalonians 5:2

1 Thessalonians 5:2

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."

“Day of the Lord”
is an all-encompassing term to describe the period that begins with the Great Tribulation, and includes the second coming of Christ and the millennial kingdom.
This Old Testament expression is here identified with the parousia already introduced. It will begin unexpectedly (Matt. 24:37).

There are 19 indisputable uses of “the Day of the Lord” in the Old Testament and 4 in the New Testament (Acts 2:20; 2 Thess. 2:2; Peter 3:10).

The Old Testament prophets used “Day of the Lord” to describe near historical judgments (Isa. 13:6-22; Ezek. 30:2-19; Joel 1:15; Amos 5:18-20; Zeph. 1:14-18), or far eschatological divine judgments (see Joel 2:30-32; 3:14; Zech. 14:1; Mal. 4:1, 5). It is also referred to as the “day of doom” and the “day of vengeance.”

The New Testament calls it a day of “wrath,” day of “visitation,” and the “great day of God Almighty” (Rev. 16:14). These are terrifying judgments from God (Joel 2:30-31; 2 Thess. 1:7-10), for the overwhelming sinfulness of the world. The future “Day of the Lord” which unleashes God’s wrath falls into two parts:

(1) The end of the 7 year tribulation period, (Rev. 19:11-21); and

(2) The end of the millennium.

These two are actually 1,000 years apart and Peter refers to the end of the 1,000 year period in connection with the final “Day of the Lord” (2 Peter 3:10; Rev. 20:7-15).
Here, Paul refers to the aspect of the Day of the Lord,” which concludes the tribulation period.

Jesus explains in the following Scripture that no man knows the exact time of the return of Christ.

Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as a family separated at the border

Church's nativity scene depicts Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as a family separated at the border
Claremont United Methodist Church transformed its Christmas nativity scene into a powerful statement
about family separation by caging their figures of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph
and
releasing a theological statement on the United States' treatment of refugees.
SEE ALSO:
Stirred to tears by the Claremont UMC nativity. Inside the church, the Holy Family is reunited.
The theological statement posted with the nativity:
In a time in our country when refugee families seek asylum at our borders
and are unwillingly separated from one another, we consider the most well-known refugee family in the world.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, the Holy Family.
Shortly after the birth of Jesus, Joseph and Mary were forced to flee with their young son from Nazareth to Egypt to escape King Herod, a tyrant.
They feared persecution and death.
What if this family sought refuge in our country today?
Imagine Joseph and Mary separated at the border
and Jesus no older than two taken from his mother and placed behind the
fences of a Border Patrol detention center as more than 5,500 children have been the past three years.
Jesus grew up to teach us kindness and mercy and a radical welcome of all people.
He said:
 “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
In the Claremont United Methodist Church nativity scene this Christmas,
the Holy Family takes the place of the thousands of nameless families separated at our borders.
Inside the church, you will see this same family reunited, the Holy Family together,
in a nativity that joins the angels in singing
“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and good will to all.”

Man sinned and the body turned into sin

God (Trinity), made man in his own image (Without Sin, a Soul), God (Trinity), walked with man in the Garden of Eden.
Man sinned and the body turned into sin.
 "Fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"
 "Anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication."
God the Son (Trinity) paid in full for the sin (On the Cross).
I got it!
7
 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (SOUL), and the man became a living creature.

And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
8Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
10He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

 "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"
 "But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth."
