Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as a family separated at the border

Church's nativity scene depicts Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as a family separated at the border
Claremont United Methodist Church transformed its Christmas nativity scene into a powerful statement
about family separation by caging their figures of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph
and
releasing a theological statement on the United States' treatment of refugees.
SEE ALSO:
Stirred to tears by the Claremont UMC nativity. Inside the church, the Holy Family is reunited.
The theological statement posted with the nativity:
In a time in our country when refugee families seek asylum at our borders
and are unwillingly separated from one another, we consider the most well-known refugee family in the world.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, the Holy Family.
Shortly after the birth of Jesus, Joseph and Mary were forced to flee with their young son from Nazareth to Egypt to escape King Herod, a tyrant.
They feared persecution and death.
What if this family sought refuge in our country today?
Imagine Joseph and Mary separated at the border
and Jesus no older than two taken from his mother and placed behind the
fences of a Border Patrol detention center as more than 5,500 children have been the past three years.
Jesus grew up to teach us kindness and mercy and a radical welcome of all people.
He said:
“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
In the Claremont United Methodist Church nativity scene this Christmas,
the Holy Family takes the place of the thousands of nameless families separated at our borders.
Inside the church, you will see this same family reunited, the Holy Family together,
in a nativity that joins the angels in singing
“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and good will to all.”

Man sinned and the body turned into sin

God (Trinity), made man in his own image (Without Sin, a Soul), God (Trinity), walked with man in the Garden of Eden.
Man sinned and the body turned into sin.
"Fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"
"Anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication."
God the Son (Trinity) paid in full for the sin (On the Cross).
I got it!
7
then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (SOUL), and the man became a living creature.

And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
8Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
10He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"
"But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth."

"Church of Atheism" isn't a religion!

"Church of Atheism" isn't a religion!
Canadian Church of Atheism denied charitable status after court finds it's not a religion
WELL DUH!
A federal court in Canada has ruled that the self-titled
"Church of Atheism" isn't a religion and can't be treated like one for tax purposes.
The Court of Appeal upheld the refusal by the minister of national revenue
to register the Church of Atheism of Central Canada as a charity,
even though it claimed to have a minister and sacred text called the
 "Ten Commandments of Energy,"
where they practiced their
"doctrine of mainstream science."
the organization failed to demonstrate
the necessary elements of a belief system.
How does it feel to be answering to the
“The Bema Seat”
The
"Church of Atheism" and Atheist in general, not only do not believe in 'religion'
in fact have been fighting against religions for years!
Because it is a
"Science only organization"
DUH!

Philippians 3:3-31

Philippians 3:3-21

"For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh."

“Worship God in the spirit”: The first characteristic Paul uses to define a true believer.

The Greek word for “worship” means to render respectful spiritual service.

The word “Spirit” should have a small “s,” to indicate the inner person.

The circumcision or true people of God are described here in three ways:

(1) They are those who worship God in the spirit.
Their worship of God is prompted, directed and enabled by the Holy Spirit.

(2) Real Christians also rejoice in Christ.
They boast and take pride in Him, not in themselves.

(3) They have no confidence in the flesh.
“Flesh”
here means one’s earthly privileges, human attainments and religious accomplishments.
God’s people refuse to depend on such things for their salvation;
instead,
they rely upon Christ to obtain favor with God.

Many of today’s Christians are yesterday’s "Judaizer"

The fastest-growing demographic group among unmarried couples is seniors

(One source says that over the past decade, the number of
unmarried partners over the age of 65 has increased by 70%).

For many seniors, finances are the biggest issue preventing legal matrimony.

In today’s congress also hides another ‘slippery slope’ this one is aimed directly it seniors pocketbooks!

Christians (Rich people in congress), force seniors to marry, this in turn forces seniors to spend huge amounts of their retirement (social security), on taxes that for the most part will end up with each senior living in the woods, or on park benches, going without food and/or medicine.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command:
"Love your neighbor as yourself."

How many of our
‘Rich congresspersons care’?
None!

Special Legal Issues for Unmarried Seniors Who Live Together

Here's why living together agreements are especially important for the growing number of unmarried older couples who live together.

The term "Judaizer" has come to be used in theological parlance to describe the opponents of Paul and Barnabas

at the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15) and those who sought to preach "another gospel"
Think (trump)

in the churches of Galatia ( Galatians 2:4 Galatians 2:12; 6:12; cf. Php 3:2). In this sense,

"Judaizers" refers to Jewish Christians who sought to induce Gentiles

to observe Jewish religious customs: to "judaize."

Go back to the Masonic Laws and not the son of god!

Because this would once again raise you above the common people!

How many states force seniors to marry?

(Rich people in congress),

If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.

12

Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh

are trying to compel you to be circumcised.

The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.

(Rich people in congress)

Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh.

(Rich people in congress)

Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers:

“Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.”

(Rich people in congress)

And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in

(who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage),

(Rich people in congress)

For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles.

But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles

because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.

Sabbath day - Saturday or Sunday?

Galatians 4:10

"Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years."

“Days … years”:
The rituals, ceremonies and festivals of the Jewish religious calendar which God had given, but were never required for the church.

Paul warns the Galatians, as he did the Colossians
(see notes on Rom. 14:1-6; Col. 2:16-17),

against legalistically observing them as if they were required by God or could earn favor with Him.

The Galatians were beginning to “observe” that part of the law least repugnant to them, the calendar: “days”

(Sabbath, fast, and feast days),

“months”

(new moons or feast days beginning with each month);

“times”

(Passover, Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles);
 and

“years”

(sabbatical years, and the Year of Jubilee).

This was very much a part of the law.

This observance of days had to do with the Sabbath and with the feast of the law.

There are some religions today that are doing like these people in Galatia were doing.

On one hand, they wanted the benefits of Christianity, but they were very much caught up in the law.

This is one of the reasons
the Christians celebrate Sunday
instead of Saturday
for their holy day.
The Christians are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.

The others are living in the law.

Galatians 4:11

"I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labor in vain."

1

Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.

2

One person's faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.

3

The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.

4

Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the LORD is able to make them stand.

5

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.

6

Whoever regards one day as special does so to the LORD. Whoever eats meat does so to the LORD, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the LORD and gives thanks to God.

16

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

17

These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Now we can understand what Paul was referring to in Colossians when he wrote about meat and drink and Sabbath days which are shadows. There were certain prescribed offerings for each of those yearly feast days, and they were shadows pointing to the future sacrifice of Jesus.

Judaizers are Christians

The covenant with God requires Jews to be loyal to God and to follow the commandments of Judaism.
In return God will make the Jewish people into a great nation, give the land of Israel and be with his people, protecting his people throughout history.
Since the cross, ‘God the son is the covenant of Circumcision’.
In Matthew 5:17-18, as part of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says,
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;
I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished."
Judaizers are Christians who teach it is necessary to adopt Jewish customs and practices, especially those found in the Law of Moses, to be saved. The term is derived from the Koine Greek word Ἰουδαΐζειν (Ioudaizein), used once in the Greek New Testament (Galatians 2:14), when Paul publicly challenges Peter for compelling Gentile converts to Early Christianity to "judaize". This episode is known as the incident at Antioch.
This term includes groups who claim the necessity of continued obedience to the Law of Moses found in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible) for gentiles. Members of such groups dispute the label because "Judaizers" is typically used as a pejorative.
Most Christians believe that much of the Old Covenant has been superseded, while according to some modern Protestants it has been completely abrogated and replaced by the Law of Christ. The Christian debate over Judaizing began in the lifetime of the apostles, notably at the Council of Jerusalem and the incident at Antioch. It has been carried on parallel to continuing debates about Paul the Apostle and Judaism, Protestant views of the Ten Commandments, and Christian ethics.
The word Judaizer comes from Judaize, which is seldom used in English Bible translations (an exception is the Young's Literal Translation for Galatians 2:14).
The meaning of the verb Judaize, from which the noun Judaizer is derived, can only be derived from its various historical uses. Its biblical meaning must also be inferred and is not clearly defined beyond its obvious relationship to the word "Jew." The Anchor Bible Dictionary, for example, says: “The clear implication is that gentiles are being compelled to live according to Jewish customs."

trump sent by God as the “Chosen One”

Rick Perry:
trump sent by God as the “Chosen One”
Energy Secretary Rick Perry in a Fox News interview called Trump
'the chosen one' who was 'sent by God to do great things'
"God's used imperfect people all through history.
King David wasn't perfect.
Saul wasn't perfect.
Solomon wasn't perfect,"
Perry said in the interview, which aired Sunday.

Mr. Rick Perry,
all of Gods People have sinned
since the first Adam, this is why God sent his only son
(Lord Jesus Christ),
as your King!

The main difference between trump and trump republican party followers and there are many and all Christian followers of the word of God is the need to ‘constantly ask Jesus Christ’ for forgiveness of your sins against the living God (Trinity)!

True believers are on their knees constantly while ‘non-believers’ dig for excuses for being caught in their sin!

President Lord Jesus Christ must have no presidents before him!
For most of my 78 years
I have been reading the ‘Wrong Bible’?!?
In my bible,
God warned his people, as in,
we the people,
to
not demand a king!
God gave his people
our own free well
in the beginning,
so God gave his people Saul!
How did that make our?
King Saul followed by King David, followed by King Solomon
and so on,
how has that been working out for Gods people?
Remember;
before kings, empires, presidents, queens and so on,
God was, is and should always be our King,
because before kings,
Gods people never lost a battle or a war
unless
they
strayed from God!
Guess what country is now straying from God?
I’ll give you three guesses.
Right!
Guess (1) -The United States of America
Guess (2) -The United States of America
Guess (3) -The United States of America
In other words, same old Rick Perry, no room for toilet paper!

Was Paul an Apostle?

Well did he ever, in life or those 13 letters, preach other then what his ‘Apostle Brother’s taught?

NO!

“Paul”: See introduction to Romans (see note on Acts 9:1).

“Apostle”: In general terms, it means “one who is sent with a commission.” The apostles of Jesus Christ, the 12 and Paul, were special ambassadors or messengers chosen and trained by Christ to lay the foundation of the early church and be the channels of God’s completed revelation (see note on Rom. 1:1; Acts 1:2; 2:42; Eph. 2:20).

“Not of men … but by Jesus Christ”: To defend his apostleship against the false teachers’ attack, Paul emphasized that Christ Himself appointed him as an apostle before he met the other apostles (verses 17-18; Acts 9:3-9).

“Raised him from the dead” (see notes on Rom. 1:4). Paul included this important fact to show that the risen and ascended Christ Himself appointed him (see notes on Acts 9:1-3, 15). Thus, Paul was a qualified witness of His resurrection (Acts 1:22).

Paul vehemently denies that his apostleship is due to human agency. He was not commissioned an apostle, by any group (“not of men”), nor by any mortal individual (“neither by man”). But “by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead:”

Unlike the other apostles, Paul received his call from the resurrected, glorified, and exalted Jesus. This special reference to the Lord’s resurrection implicitly confirms Paul’s appointment as an apostle.

We see a declaration of who Paul is right at the very beginning. We find that Paul reminds them immediately that his call was of the Lord Himself. When we speak of a disciple of that day, we think of the 120, who had disciplined themselves to follow Jesus. We also think of the twelve who Jesus chose out of that larger group to make them apostles.

We then realize that Matthias was also one of them. The Lord Himself had chosen him to replace the traitor, Judas Iscariot. Paul was an apostle also, even though he was not of the original group. Jesus had appeared to him on the road to Damascus, and called him to apostleship.
