“Pharisees”
Today’s
average Middle-Class Christians!
The
Pharisees were what we would call the people of the middle class today.
“Sadducees”
(doctors of the laws).
The
Sadducees were from the upper class, and some from high-priest families.
The
law was everything to them.
Politicians,
Big-Business and many of the today’s Evangelical pastors and priests
Luke
5:17 "
And
it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees
and doctors of the law
sitting
by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judea, and Jerusalem:
and
the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them."
“Pharisees”:
The
Pharisees and Sadducees were hung up in tradition.
The
Pharisees were what we would call the people of the middle class today.
The
Sadducees were from the upper class, and some from high-priest families.
The
law was everything to them.
They
really thought themselves better than just the average person.
They
were righteous in their own sight.
"Hear
thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger
calleth to thee for:
that
all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as [do] thy people
Israel;
and
that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy
name."
The
prayer of the stranger.
The
Bible states frequently that no one exists
“who
does not sin”: (
Sin
is the universal condition of a fallen human race.
“Done
wrong
is the phrase from which iniquity is derived, and it means “twisted or
distorted.”
1
Kings 8:60
"That
all the people of the earth may know that the LORD [is] God, [and that there
is] none else."
